Pricing

One price, published.

A custom website is $2,500. Everything that price covers is listed in full, and anything outside it is billed by the hour and agreed in writing before it starts. No estimate ranges, and no call required to find out the number.

Most websites run two to four weeks. What changes that is how much content is ready at the start and how quickly feedback comes back.

A complete website

$2,500

One price for everything on the list opposite. It is fixed in writing before any work begins, and it does not move unless you ask for something outside that list.

Anything outside it is $125 per hour, quoted and approved in writing before the work starts. Nothing is ever added to an invoice you did not agree to first.

Included in the price

  • Up to 6 pages
  • Discovery call and a written scope before any work begins
  • Website structure and navigation
  • Custom page design, drawn for this business
  • Responsive development, built by hand rather than assembled in a page builder
  • Content organization and refinement of copy the client supplies
  • Contact form with spam protection
  • On-page technical search setup
  • Google Analytics and Search Console setup
  • Performance and accessibility review
  • Two consolidated revision rounds
  • Launch onto a domain and hosting account registered to the client
  • 30 days of post-launch support

Outside the price

What is not included, and what it costs.

Published here rather than discovered later. Every item below is real work, and pretending otherwise is how a fixed price quietly stops being fixed.

  • Pages beyond the sixth
  • Original copywriting written from scratch
  • Logo and identity design, which is priced separately
  • Revision rounds beyond the second
  • A compliance review round, where an advisory firm requires one
  • Scheduling, CRM, payment, or other third-party integrations
  • Photography, illustration, video, and stock licensing
  • E-commerce, custom applications, and multi-location websites, which are quoted as their own projects

Hourly rate

$125 per hour

Used for anything beyond the fixed scope, and for work under a care plan that runs past the included time. Always quoted and approved before it begins.

  • A revision round is one written list of changes sent in a single message. Feedback that arrives in pieces across separate messages is counted as separate rounds.
  • Content is supplied by the client and organized, sequenced, and edited here. Original copywriting is available at the hourly rate.

Ownership

Paid once. Owned after.

A website here is paid for one time. At launch the domain, the hosting account, the analytics property, the content, and the design files are registered to the business or transferred to it, and that is the end of the transaction.

Care afterwards is optional. It buys hosting, monitoring, updates, and the attention of the person who built the site. It is work on something already owned, not rent on something that is not. Stop paying and nothing disappears.

Three questions worth asking anyone, including us

  1. What is the one-time cost?
  2. What is the monthly cost, and for how long?
  3. If you stop paying, does the website still belong to you?
